Post-op swelling after lower leg liposuction tends to last much longer than the swelling that follows liposuction of the torso or thighs. We typically have patients use compression stockings after surgery to reduce and control this side effect. While the prolonged swelling can be frustrating, patients are typically extremely pleased with the result.
