Prescription Dysport is an injection used to temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your whole face. The untreated facial muscles still work normally, allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling, in untreated areas.
Dysport is a formulation that has been shown to deliver temporary improvement in moderate to severe frown lines, even with repeat treatments. So, the effect of repeat treatment with Dysport may be comparable to your first use.
How Does Dysport Work?
With a series of small injections placed between and above the eyebrows, Dysport blocks the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines.
You should not be treated with Dysport more frequently than every 90 days. Treatment with prescription Dysport can temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines. Treatment generally takes just less than 5 minutes.
Daxxify is the latest breakthrough in neuromodulator technology, distinguished by its unique peptide-powered formula. While traditional wrinkle relaxers like Botox and Dysport typically last 3 to 4 months, Daxxify is engineered for longevity, with many patients enjoying smoother skin for up to 6 months or longer. Most adults in good health who are bothered by expression lines are excellent candidates for Botox, Dysport, or Daxxify. It is suitable for nearly all skin types and tones. Many patients return to work immediately after their office visit, though there is potential for bruising following any injectable treatment. The results appear over the next 2-6 days and last about 3-4 months. The offending muscle relaxes, and the wrinkle fades.
To ensure optimal placement of the product, we recommend that you remain upright for four hours following your appointment and avoid strenuous exercise or excessive heat (like saunas) for 24 hours. Also, wait two weeks before your next facial or facial massage.
You will begin to see a softening of your features within a few days, with peak results appearing at the two-week mark. Your skin will appear smoother and more rested. While Botox and Dysport provide a refreshed look for about 3 to 4 months, Daxxify can extend those results. BOTOX® injection is a simple, non-surgical procedure that can eliminate or improve deep or persistent wrinkles. The most commonly treated features include the glabellar frown lines (between eyebrows), horizontal forehead wrinkles, and the crow’s feet (just outside each eye). It can sometimes be used to treat wrinkles around the mouth and in the neck. Other uses of BOTOX® include temporary relief of migraine headaches in some patients and improvement in overly sweaty palms and armpits.
When injected in very small amounts into muscle, BOTOX® paralyzes or partially paralyzes that muscle for about 3-4 months. The toxin causes this localized paralysis by blocking the nerve impulse to the muscle. The office procedure only takes a couple of minutes to perform and is very safe.
